The North Carolina State Energy Office enthusiastically joins the Challenge to recognize students and teachers that participate in the national Igniting Creative Energy Student Challenge. Through a Rebuild America EnergySmart Schools Southeast Regional grant, funding is available to recognize student and teacher excellence in learning about and taking action to be energy wise and leaders in environmental stewardship.

The mission of the State Energy Office is to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy, striving toward a sustainable energy future.

Their mission is accomplished in many ways, one being education. Supporting K-12 students and teachers participating in the Challenge is a natural!

Entries from North Carolina must be postmarked on or before Feb. 17th.
